HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Deja Vu, we are in Puerto Vallarta again today. Same pier as last time. It's 75 at 8am but will certainly warm up by afternoon. This is our last port of call for this 43 night cruise as we will now have two days at sea before arriving in LA early Thursday morning.LAST NIGHT:
We decided to honor our Canadian friend, Marcia Rector, last night in Compass Rose with this lovely red blend wine produced in Canada. I highly recommend this wine. Jeff and I really enjoyed it. There was a little left so we shared it with Janine, our lovely wine steward.Jeff had spicy tuna maki. It's some kind of a sushi thing. He loved it but we don't do sushi. He also had a small order of the rigatoni pasta with a braised pork ragout and vegetables. All three of us had to beef bourguignon for our entrees. Very rich and filling entree. Excellent!! Jeff and I had chocolate profiteroles for dessert.
This assistant waiter is "Nine". Interesting name.
Jeff has an early tour tomorrow so we all skipped the show. Another great day and evening came to an end.
TODAY:
Tours started leaving at 8:00. Jeff is doing a 3 hour ATV tour. At 8:30 I noticed there was a Mexican flag raising ceremony taking place by some military and others dressed in white.
Rebecca went to the fitness center for her treadmill just after 9am as wanted to be finished before the crew drill at 10:15. I walked over to Walmart and was back by 10am. This visit Walmart had their Christmas stuff out.
I bought 8 bags of nacho flavored Doritos. We will give them to our favorite crew members who have gone out of there way to make this cruise so special. Hard to pick just 8!! Unfortunately, the ship scheduled a crew emergency drill at 10:15 today so that prevented most of the crew members from making a run over to Walmart as the ship sails early at 3pm. "Come on, man!" This decoration was in the atrium. This display was at the entrance to Compass Rose & Prime 7.
There is/are very talented carvers on the crew. AMAZING!!
Jeff said he had a great time on his ATV tour and wants to rent one next time he comes to visit us in Durango. He was having a couple Mai Tai's this afternoon in the Horizon Lounge so I went down to chat with him. Just the two of us with Maricel tending bar and setting up for tea time.
I asked Siva to bring our pigs in a blanket at 5:30 today. At 6pm we will going down to the Horizon Lounge for a private cocktail event for the Seven Seas Society "top-tier" members.
Dinner planned in Compass Rose. Rebecca and I have made a special request for veal piccata. Jeff says he likes the last 3 entrees on tonight's menu.
There is a comedian, John Wing, in the theater early at 8:30. Probably not going. This is due to the Halloween Party in Horizon Lounge at 9:30. Probably not going. Sailing out of Puerto Vallarta at 3pm and looking at a nice beach and some condos.
