Docked in Ensenada, Mexico, again today. Sunny and low 70's.
LAST NIGHT:
Nice rainbow as we departed the pier at 6pm. Photo does give it the real beauty though. This is Tran from Viet Nam. She just joined the ship.
Surf & turf--filet with creole shrimp. We bring Lawry's lemon pepper with us and I season the filets before the chef grills them.I tried a different dessert than usual. This is red velvet cheese cake.
TODAY:
We finished our treadmill time by 10am.
Rebecca did a load of laundry as she does not want to let the ship's laundry do some of her stuff. We get free laundry and I send stuff out every other day. It is returned by Siva the next day. There are 3 self service laundrettes which are free: one each on decks 8, 9, & 10. The one on our deck (8) is just around the corner from us so it's very convenient. I walked in town again to get some more azitromycin (z-pac). It is quite pleasant outside today and is in the low 70's. Just off the ship for little more than a half hour.
These two were setting up their street stand. I gave them a dollar each for this photo.
Kind of a flea market. It is 3:45 and just departing the dock and heading out to sea. Tomorrow is a day at sea enroute to our next stop anchored at Cabo San Lucas on Tuesday.
This is where we were docked today.Downtown
Waiting now for the Dallas Cowboys game which will kick off at 5:20pm Pacific time. Big game as they are playing Philadelphia Eagles in Philly. We cannot not stream the game as it is on FOX but we can follow the play-by-play on our phones. We will be taking our phones with us to dinner so we can keep up with the score.
Same plan as usual for this evening: cocktails in the suite at 6pm, dinner at 7pm in Sette Mari, and back to the suite. We are trying to be very careful and staying away from other passengers as much as possible. Jeff will be coming on board on the 25th for our last 9 day cruise and we do not want to be in isolation with covid. I turned in all my excursion reservation cards again. Not going to shows either. Yes, we are paranoid. The vaccinations do NOT prevent anyone from getting covid!! They may reduce the severity of symptoms for some people. I had 4 vaccinations and got covid on Easter. Rebecca had 5 vaccinations and got covid earlier on this cruise. My symptoms were very mild. Rebecca's were a little worse with a bad cough and lost taste for a while. She is fine now however.
Tonight's main course menu in Sette Mari.
