DAY 27---CABO SAN LUCAS, MEXICO

Anchored just offshore at Cabo San Lucas.  Mostly sunny skies and 82 degrees at noon.

LAST NIGHT:

After our crispy spring rolls (changed canape) and cocktail hour in our suite, we went to Compass Rose for dinner.  This is Ivander who surprised us by stopping by our table.  Great guy who was on our world cruise earlier this year.  He just returned from vacation and will be on next year's world cruise also.  Many of our crew friends on board now will be staying on for the WC.
Also stopping by was Cedric, the Food & Beverage Director.  He asked if we would join him for dinner sometime in Prime 7.  So we will be having dinner with him tonight at 7pm.  I have been half joking with him for a couple weeks now, asking when he was going to get me some oysters and soft shell crabs.
My Caesar with 5 anchovies, dressing on the side with some tabasco to spice up the dressing.
We did not care that much for this evening's entrees.  Panko coated tiger prawns were on the appetizer menu so we ordered them for our entrees.
My apple tart with ice cream.
                                                               "Christmas tree" goodies.

TODAY:

Scene at 7:30 this morning when I opened the drapes.
I went up on deck 12 for my hour fast walk earlier than normal and watched our sail into the bay at Cabo.  This is the Disney Wonder cruise ship which had already anchored.
                                                              The famous "Lands End".
Lowering the life boat just below our balcony.  It will be used as one of the tenders today.
For lunch in Compass Rose I had this Chinese barbecue pork ribs with jasmine rice and some buttered veggies.  Probably will not have this again.

Another relaxing afternoon with nice view out our balcony windows.  Rebecca waiting on her soaps to air on Paramount +.  Glad the stock market has been up so far this week.  Last week was not a good one!
We asked Siva for shrimp cocktails at 6.  We will be meeting Cedric, the Food & Beverage Director, at 7 for dinner in Prime 7.  This is the menu in Compass Rose which we will not be having.  More surf & turf for us in Prime 7.

I have also asked Arthur, the head sommelier, to have this Flora Springs red blend wine off the Connoisseur Wine List (spell pay more list) prepared for us.  Rebecca does not drink red wines and I doubt Cedric will either.  So may be all for me!!  We are really looking forward to getting to know him better.
Two corporate guys boarded in LA:  Enzo and Roberto.  Enzo has been a corporate guy for many years.  They over see the restaurants and service on board all of Regent's ships.  I believe Enzo is checking out Roberto as he was recently promoted from a Food & Beverage Director on ships to corporate.  Roberto was our F&B director on the Explorer during our transatlantic crossing Oct 2021.  He would frequently check on us to make sure all was well.  I believe they may be going to the Navigator after leaving here.  I guarantee you we are being looked after by all officers and crew now on Mariner.
We shall be weighing anchor at 7pm and continuing the short distance on up the Sea of Cortez to be docked in La Paz, Mexico by 7am tomorrow.
