Our position at 1pm today is off the coast of Baja California. Lovely sunny day and 73 degrees now. Smooth sailing also.
LAST NIGHT:
SamalAriel
Both wine stewards just arrived on the ship.
Another huge veal parmesan.Rebecca had this small order of pasta bolognese.
TODAY:
Rebecca did the treadmill this morning but I went up to the track on deck 12 for my fast walk. Good morning for it as was not windy.
This is Sheshank. He just came on board in LA after a 3 month vacation. He was on our world cruise earlier this year and remembered us. He worked at the pool grill then and I would order 8 Buffalo wings from him. He would bring them to me at table #8 in La Veranda. He remembered 8 wings at table 8! Very nice young man. He was happy to hear we will be back for next year's world cruise as he will still be on board for it too. Lunch today in Compass Rose. Empanada to start with.Actually I first ordered the panko crusted cod but it came over cooked so I asked Dennis for this pasta bolognese with some chili flakes to spice it up some. After lunch we went to the Boutique to see if we could find anything to spend our over $600 ship board credits. No luck. I have to laugh every time I walk past these belts. They will never sell them because they are all size 32. Regent men, including me, are all old, fat guys who need MUCH larger belts now. I was a size 32 over 30 years ago!
Last segment the "block party" was canceled but it is back on for 6pm this evening. It is where a bell is sounded over the PA and everyone is to come out of their suites to mingle with their neighbors in the hallway with the stewards serve wine and canapes. The Captain, General Manager, and Cruise Director race up and down all the hallways saying hi. It is kind of fun but we will not participate this evening. Since Jeff will be coming on board on the 25th for our last segment, we do NOT want to be in isolation with covid. So we are staying away from crowds as much as possible.
Siva will bring our canape before the block party starts. We are switching to spring rolls for this evening's canape. Dinner at 7 planned in Compass Rose. Here is tonight's menu.
Tonight's show at 9:30 features Kristin Key, a musical comedian. Not going. We should be anchored at Cabo San Lucas by 10am tomorrow. As you recall this is a tender port as no docks here. The Captain says there will also be a Disney ship anchored. The Captain hinted during today's noon PA that there may be swells. I read this as "may not be able to tender and will miss the port". So we will see what happens tomorrow. I care less as not going ashore there anyway.
